I know this is going to sound weird coming from a guy to start with, but hear me out.
First of all Eve wasn't even present when God told Adam not to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. (Gen. 2:16-17) Eve was not created until verse 21 after God told ADAM not to eat of the tree. Now let's look at chapter 3 for a few minutes. First look at vs. 3 Eve incorrectly quotes God. This lets us know that she was not there when God said not to eat it. She would have had to be told later by Adam. Then look at vs. 4 where Satan actually corrects Eve and she doesn't even notice!!!!! Now Eve takes and eats of the fruit and nothing happens to her. Did you catch that? It wasn't until after Adam ate that their eyes were opened. Now for the most important question of the whole chapter: how did they sew the fig leaves together? Romans 5:12 says, "through one man sin entered the world." When God comes to see Adam and Eve when they're hiding Adam actually becomes a coward first of all he hid. Do you think that God would have punished them as bad if he didn't? Second, he throws Eve to the wolves so to speak. Do you think if they had not sinned we would have been born? Read vs. 16 in Gen. 2. Or if we had been born do you think that we would die? Would it even rain if they hadn't sinned? By they I actually mean Adam. The biggest mystery to me in this whole thing is what happened to the garden? Is it still there hiding in plain sight? Is there a cherubim there and a giant sword just out in the open? Someone give me your take on this.
Ladies I hope you enjoyed this because the guys may very well kill me over this. But I figured someone occasionally needs to take up for the maiden in distress.
