God has an ultimate plan. People can thwart God's will (or what he wants) but not his ultimate plan.
On a worldwide scale his plan is that EVERYONE would know him, love him, tell the nations of his love and after this life on earth spend eternity with him. It is a fact that people are dying every day and going to hell. It's not God's WILL that those people go to hell. He wants them to be with him in eternity. Scriptures says that one day "every knee will bow and every tongue confess"...whether they confess his name in this life or not one day they will. That is his plan. Even though we disregard his will it doesn't necessarily mean we lose out on his plan. Does that make sense?
Now, I said all that to say this- when we become saved the scripture says we are a new creation and no longer a slave to the old life... So when I gave God reign over my life sin didn't satisfy my new life. I have a point... Regarding my own walk with The Father, I have been taught through trial and error. However, I don't believe it had to be this way. I can distinctly remember hearing the Spirit of God telling me to not do things, to get out of situations because they were not of Him. They were not his will. Instead of listening to his voice, I did it my way and end the end (just like he planned) He received the glory by showing me He was right all along. Instead of listening to God telling me to not "eat the fruit" I did anyway, in turn, I had to experience hurts and such that I would not have had to deal with had I listened to him in the first place. His plan for me from the beginning was never changed. Where he wanted me to go is the same, how, and maybe even when I got there may even be different... but his ultimate plan for me stands. It is MY choice or not if I let him take me there.
I hope I’m not chasing rabbits. God told Adam and Eve to NOT eat of the fruit. He's GOD. He knows what he's talking about. He has never experienced sin but he has witnessed it. He's the God of the universe. He is wisdom. Had I listened to God, I would have been innocent to certain hurts. He TOLD us what would happen. Eat and you'll die. Sin and you'll die. Adam and Eve started a whole curse that has followed generations of men. We think we know better than God. We listen to each other or the ENEMY (who wants to kill us) instead of him who made the stars. My question I want to discuss is...Why is his voice not enough? Why is his infinite wisdom not enough? Why do we have to come up with explanations of how the earth was made, or what my purpose is or all of these things when THE GOD, told us from the beginning? Who are we? He does all things for our good. Why can’t we let him take the reins? If we yield to his will we can be a part of making his beautiful plan happen. His plan WILL be fulfilled. Will you be a part of it?
pooop I forgot to put who's post I commented on. I commented on Jeremey's post.
