"That was totally wicked!"

I think those plagues were so cool!

I hadn't actually read that story since I was in Elementary school, where it was really just taught to me in a way that a kid would understand. It was very "draw a picture of the first plague" type learning. Reading it this time, I saw more the awesomeness of God and how he prevailed over Pharaoh with the plagues. In sunday school, I'm sure we talked about how "God beat Pharaoh", but I guess back then I didn't comprehend how great the plagues were, and how much power it took for them to occur.

I watched a thing on The History Channel with my dad about a month ago called "Exodus Decoded". It's actually still saved on our DVR, but that's beside the point. There were these scientists who had found all this evidence about a oil leak, yadah, yadah, yadah...they were basically explaining how the plagues could have occurred naturally, one thing leading to the next. It was so fascinating. I think nature in itself is amazing, how Earth is just far enough away from the sun that humans can exist and all that. I think for sure the plagues could have happened in a natural way, the scientists had some pretty legit, convincing evidence for their side of the argument, but I also believe that God set it in motion, God put us just the right distance from the sun so that we won't fry, and He caused that oil leak (or whatever it was) that led to the rest of the plagues.

I commented on Rachel's.
